I might be misinterpreting what you are trying to say here, so if I am I more than welcome some clarification. But I am seeing this as an attack and I am prepared to defend. Please don’t try to invalidate my view. What I am saying is that as a WoC I’ve come in contact with many white men who have expressed this view to me one way or the other. I have been treated as a prize, my culture fetishized. I don’t want to be asked a million questions about how black people do this or how Jamaican people do this. They should have dignity enough to treat a relationship with me as just a relationship with me, not my race. Until I meet someone to prove me otherwise, I will continue to hold this belief. There are exceptions to every standard of course, but don’t you dare pull this reverse racism bullshit with me.

No attack meant. All I meant to do was rephrase what you said. I think, maybe, you think, I’m being sarcastic? I’m not. For me it’s a genuinely interesting and exciting idea that sexuality can only exist as the spiritual death of really straight/square sex and the existential angst that drives perverts to do what they do. Exoticism is certainly one response to the existential problem (and I agree it’s an ugly one) but so is worshiping feet? and so pony play?

I dunno about your objectification problems, but being “prized” for how you look or “who you are” or whatever is kind of a problem for everyone. Do you suppose all the dumb fucks around you are having REAL relationships and not superficial bullshit? Everyone is objectified and objectifying and shallow and sad. Not that you don’t have it worse, just that no one else really knows how to get around our basic ugliness, ya know?
Have you tried saying upfront to boys that you don’t want to talk with them about your race, or culture, etc? Or going after people who aren’t shallow? Those are the best ideas I have at 3, sorry. </overlong rambling response to overlong response to offhand cryptic bullshit>
